Induction and Mentoring Program

Happy Thanksgiving!  Hope you all will be able to spend time with family over the holidays.  For the new teachers, the holidays can be a time of rejuvenation and relaxing that you need.  Reimbursement checks for the first grant will be going out before Thanksgiving to the districts for reimbursement of plan periods/use of subs and for mentor stipends.  This should be a nice Christmas "gift" to the mentors.  Thank you mentors for your commitment and dedication to the new teachers.  Did you all get your note pads at Institute or just after?  If not, email me and I will see that you receive yours.  We have just two sessions left in our mentor training this fall.  It has gone fast but has been a great time to get to know the new mentors.  They will recieve their certificate of completion of the training after Christmas.

Mentors, please remember to sign up with your teacher to attend the "Using Student Work to Guide Instruction" workshop.  You have the choice of February 10 or March 24.  Call Gertie at 939-5650 to register if you have not yet done so!
