Teaching Resources
This is a website I created to allow me to share activities with other teachers. Visitors to the site can download and print out free blackline masters and handouts to use with their class. The File Cabinet section offers copies of my favorite activities, the Reference Book gives directions for some of the activities, and the Bookshelf provides information about the cooperative learning books I have written.

If you are interested in finding out great ideas for implementing the Accelerated Reader program, this web site is for you. You can search their on-line database of all AR tests to find out reading levels and point values. You can also join their "listserv" and receive daily e-mail messages concerning AR implementation from teachers all over the U.S.

The Children's Literature Web Guide
This is the web site for those who love children's literature! It has discussion boards, book reviews, lesson plans, and links to other literature sites. You can use the site links to find authors on the web, books awards, and lists of recommended books.

Check out this site to find educational resources, interactive databases including lesson plans, Internet products, and Search engines.

Education World
This web site has links to over 100,000 other educational sites. It has great articles and lesson plans that are updated on a weekly basis. When you visit this site, you can order a free copy of Net Lessons: Education World’s Internet Primer. This is a small handbook for using the Internet in the classroom.

Global SchoolNet Foundation
The theme of this website is "linking kids around the world." It's an excellent source of information about Internet projects. Learn how to participate in a classroom project that will allow your students to collaborate with others around the world. You'll also find educational articles about using technology in your classroom.

InfoWeb
InfoWeb is the official web site of the North Carolina Department of Instruction. You can find out current information on education issues in our state by visiting this site. It also has links to other great educational sites.

Kagan Cooperative Learning
Kagan Cooperative Learning offers a complete selection of cooperative learning books and materials for teachers of all grades. Visit their site to see how you can obtain a catalog of their products.

Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators
This website is packed with wonderful educational links listed by subject. Kathy also has PowerPoint presentations and Slide Shows about the Internet which are available for online viewing. You'll want to bookmark this site and return to it again and again!

National Education Association
This site, hosted by a national professional organization, is a comprehensive resource for educators. By visiting their site, you can find other schools on web, read NEA Today Online, cast your vote for educational issues, and even say thank you to an educator who has made a difference in your life! This site even has a "Chuckles from the Classroom" page with funny stories that have been contributed by fellow educators.

The Teacher's Desk
This site offers loads of lesson plans for teachers, especially in the area of language arts, spelling, reading, and writing. The Teacher's Desk is a part of a chain of educational sites called The Classroom Connection.
